The Old Yarmouth Inn does not charge a fee for the use of the Dining Rooms, but there is a set-up fee for Banquets or Receptions occupying the Main Dining Room and/or the Whole House. Private Dining Rooms do require a minimum guest count. Parties falling below the minimum guest count requirement will have the option to forfeit the private room or pay a room fee.
Private Room Requirements
Red Room: 15-22 pp
Main Dining Room: 75 person minimum Main Dining Room with Tavern extension and Dance area: 95 person minimum
Whole House: 140 minimum
Afternoon Weddings can be booked from 12-4 or from 1-5 and are a maximum of 4 hours in length.
Evening Weddings can be booked from 4-9, 5-10 or 6-11 and are a maximum of 5 hours in length.
Time extensions on Wedding Receptions are not offered.
Bands and DJ’s should be instructed to play their last song 15 minutes before the end of the reception.
Please arrive at the Old Yarmouth Inn promptly on the scheduled time and agree to have your guests, invitees and other persons to vacate the designated event space at the closing hour indicated.
We cannot accommodate early arrivals while our staff is in the set-up process.
Overtime service charges will be imposed on events that exceed the 5 hour time limit by more than 15 minutes. The rate charged for overtime begins at $500 for the first hour.
Deposits & Billing
When booking banquet events, a non-refundable deposit is required to confirm the date and function space. For Wedding reception, an additional deposit of 50% of the estimated total is payable by check 90 days before the event, the balance of the estimated total function cost must be paid 14 days prior to the scheduled event and payment in full for any balance made the day of the function. All deposits are non-refundable and will be applied to the final bill. For all other Banquets, payment in full is expected on the day of the event unless prior arrangement has been made with Arpad Voros.
Menu Selection – Finalized menu selections, hors d’oeuvres and special orders for food or beverage must be received fourteen (14) days prior to the reception/banquet date.
Guarantee – The guaranteed number of guests attending your banquet/reception is required seven (7) days in advance of your event date. You will be billed for this guaranteed number or the actual guest count, whichever is greater.
The Old Yarmouth Inn holds a license granted by the State of Massachusetts and is held responsible for complying with its regulations. No alcoholic beverages are permitted on the premises unless purchased from the license holder. Massachusetts drinking laws are strictly adhered to and all guests must have proper ID. We reserve the right to refuse service to any person not in possession of ID indicating that he/she is over the legal drinking age of 21 regardless of their alleged date of birth.
We reserve the right to stop serving alcoholic beverages to any patron at anytime it seems necessary to comply with Massachusetts’ Liquor Laws. Anyone serving Alcoholic Beverages to underage members of the party will be asked to leave and may result in the bar being closed. Beverages may not be carried outside of the building. Shots cannot be ordered at any time. All bars are limited to a 4½ hour time period.
Liability & Security
The Old Yarmouth Inn reserves the right to closely monitor all private functions. Any damages to the premises will be charged accordingly. At no time may any item be pinned, taped or attached to any wall, window, moulding or furniture. The Old Yarmouth Inn will not assume responsibility for the damage or loss of personal items or equipment brought onto the property or inside the restaurant.
The Old Yarmouth Inn shall be excused and held harmless for the failure to perform any obligation hereunder when prevented from doing so by cause or causes beyond its control which shall include, but not limited to, labor disputes, civil commotion, war, fire or other casualty, inability to obtain any material or services, an Act of God, or any serious maintenance problem, which, in its sole discretion and judgment, will impair efforts to properly host such a function. In such cases, monies on deposit will be refunded.
